Goldwing Travels and Adventures around Asheville

A Quick Trip Through Pisgah/BRP

Took a quick ride up through Pisgah forest today, this route has become of my favorite loops to do!

The road up to Pisgah runs past Looking Glass Falls, which is always a fantastic stop (as long as the parking is not too crazy) and the falls is amazing.

After the falls is a gorgeous road (276) which winds up through the forest until it intersects the Blue Ridge Parkway.

And the parkway itself is always amazing. I pulled off at several of the “scenic overlooks” to get pictures and try to get a good one for the site header.

But the scenery itself really is always spectacular, and I wouldn’t even necessarily consider it the best sort of day!

Also some construction work is happening on the parkway itself, a new bridge appears to be getting built, and look at this thing!

It’s terrifying driving underneath it (on I-26), I feel like it’s gonna snap off and fall down any moment!
